A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Training for Armed School Security Guards
Effective July 1, 2023, it is a violation of the Program’s requirements and a Class A misdemeanor for an armed security guard who has not completed active shooter training to provide security or patrol services in or at a public school, a public charter school or a church related school.
JS Security Consulting offers this Tennessee mandatory training for Armed School Security Guards and Security Companies with armed school security guards working in public, private, charter or religious-based school setting. This legislative law is effective July 1, 2023 but classes can be taken now in preparation for the July 1, 2023 go live date. The curriculum consists of 8 hours of active shooter training based on the A.L.I.V.E. program. This training must be taken in-person.
